CIVITAS webinar on Green vehicles for urban freight delivery

24/07/2014

CIVITAS webinar on Green vehicles for urban freight delivery was held on Thursday 24th July.

Most of our city centres are often overrun by freight delivery vehicles causing severe congestion problems and pollution. Urban Freight Logistic has to be re-thinked by introducing on one hand some restrictive measures for a more efficient freight distribution and, on the other, new “green“ vehicles more suitable for historical city centres and humanised areas.

Organised by the CIVITAS Thematic Group on Urban Freight Logistics with the support of CIVITAS WIKI, the webinar will presented 3 case studies and discussed more in detail of cargo bikes for last mile delivery as well as of regulatory measures and incentives for zero emission city logistics.
