Zagreb presents new waste disposal vehicles

On World Environment Day, 5 June 2012, Zagreb celebrated Waste Disposal Day. The highlight were the new waste disposal vehicles equipped with Euro V engines that were co-financed by the CIVITAS ELAN project.

The City Waste Disposal branch gathered a wide range of participants – from kindergarten and school kids to various environmental companies and civil society organisations – to contribute to the programme. Citizens were very keen to see and hear more about the new waste disposal vehicles.

The central theme of the event held on Zagreb's main square was "Let`s protect the environment“. After a day of interesting environmental topics, there was a concert with Croatian stars.
