The public transport pass that keeps giving

CIVITAS MIMOSA, 23.07.2012

Commuters who travel with the public transport pass "Utrecht Accessible Pass" now get extra benefits such as discounts for theatres and museums! The organisers now look to widen the target audience for the pass.

Utrecht Accessible has negotiated special discounts with theatres and museums. In return these businesses get free publicity among 20,000 public transport card holders. In April, May and June, card holders received a 25 percent discount for the Museum of Music Instruments and a discount of €6,50 on comedy show tickets.

The Utrecht Accessible pass is a daily commuting ticket purchased on behalf of employers for an attractive price for their employees who can then use the bus, train and public bicycles for free. Developing ongoing customer relationships with "Utrecht Accessible Pass" card holders is an important goal.

To upscale the measure further and reach other target groups, free one-day Utrecht Accessible Day Passes were offered to the wider public during peak construction days at the train station during the month of June.

Citizens can log on to the Utrecht Accessible website (www.utrechtbereikbaar.nl) to order a free public transport day pass to visit the city or other places in the region.
