Integrated planning encompasses the other eight themes and looks at developing integrated strategies for sustainable urban mobility, including land use planning. Several CIVITAS cities are involved in the development of sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs).

The group exchanges through email groups on specific topics of relevance to integrated planning: from discussing the input to events to questions about measures implemented in CIVITAS cities. This group is open to representatives from CIVITAS Forum members who are working on developing or implementing SUMPs in their cities. Members of the group exchange with their peers in the successful implementation, evaluation and dissemination of their measures.
