Magyar CIVINET

CIVITAS is an initiative of the European Commission, the aim of which is to create connections between European cities that are at the forefront of solving urban transport problems.

CIVITAS partly provides an opportunity to tender for the financing of research and development projects for forward-looking transport solutions, and partly provides an opportunity for the professionals of the cities to exchange experiences.

In recent years, several national and cross-border regional CIVITAS networks (CIVINET) have been established so that cities operating in similar situations and within similar frameworks can share their results and experiences without language barriers and learn from each other's examples.

The purpose of Magyar CIVINET is to provide the opportunity to exchange experiences in Hungarian between cities in Hungary and cities across the border that (also) use the Hungarian language, as well as to facilitate access to the tender opportunities opened up in the CIVITAS program (e.g. professional exchanges, innovation projects).

Its basic rules can be found below in the downloads.

For the above purposes, the network organizes professional meetings, site visits, study trips, publishes publications and newsletters, and operates a website.
