Budaors (Hungary)

Budaörs is a town in Pest counry, Budapest metropolitan area, Hungary

Budaors, located to the south of the Buda Hills in picturesque surroundings, is a town of special atmosphere, where the highly esteemed works of modern architecture, the fascinating natural environment and the relics of the historic past merge in harmony. The commercial quarter of the town is crossed by the shared section of the M1 and M7 motorways, which connect the Hungarian capital city with Wienna and with Lake Balaton, respectively. This is why Budaörs often called the western gateway to Budapest. Budaors is within easy reach from Budapest both by road and by public transportation.

As the metropolitan area’s largest suburban employer (many head offices), Budaors is a destination in its own right, and the local government buys public transport services from the Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK). Budaors’s transport strategy calls for the improvement of transverse connections, interoperability of transport services, encouragement of shared mobility, the construction of an intermodal train hub and public transport integration. The cycling policy calls for the expansion of cycling services, awareness raising, support to bike- friendly companies, encouragement for utility cycling.”
