Conference on sustainable transport and economic development
THE FORUM SOUTHEND ON SEA, United KingdomOther
Registration now closed.
Integrating sustainable transport and economic development is increasingly relevant, given the need to demonstrate value for money in public projects. This conference will showcase how the sustainable transport sector works with other policy areas to deliver shared priorities. Â
A mix of presentations and case studies will explore the economic benefits of different sustainable modes and how sustainable transport can contribute to local economic strategy, regeneration, access to employment and social inclusion. Our host, Southend on Sea Borough Council, will also lead a site visit to the Central Area Transport Scheme. This will showcase recent place making measures, and further plans for regenerating public spaces and transport links.
This event is free to CIVINET UKI members and £90 for non-members. We have a great venue, The Forum www.theforumsouthend.co.uk.
