UPPER & SPINE projects engage Italian audience

CIVITAS projects UPPER & SPINE were represented at a recent seminar organized by the Bologna Airport. The airport was recently awarded "bike friendly and mobility active airport", by FIAB and the European Cyclists Federation (ECF).
Francesco Lacorossi, UPPER's dissemination task leader, along with SPINE's Luigi Russi, presented their sister projects in a shared session and how they contribute to achieving the aims of both the CIVITAS Initiative and the EU 's Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission. The event was a perfect chance to introduce the work done so far to an Italian audience and promote the precious role of EU funded projects in sustainable mobility. Since the very beginning of both (January 2023), the two projects have been growing together and creating synergies in their aims to strengthen the role of public transport as the cornerstones of sustainable and innovative mobility.
Next step: UPPER & SPINE will collaborate through their representation at the Urban Mobility Days in October in Seville, Spain.
