Launched in October 2017 and standing for Shared mobility opporTunities And challenges foR European citieS, STARS aims to explore the diffusion of car sharing in Europe, its connections with technological and social innovations, and its impact on other transport modes.
In the first STARS webinar, the project results so far were introduced:
- Typologies and characteristics of car sharing in Europe;
- Analysis of business models of car sharing services across Europe; and
- Socio-economic factors and mobility styles of car sharing users.
Five of the seven STARS Uptake cities were also introduced. They will follow the project and be engaged in certain knowledge transfer activities.
