Big Success of Burgos Bike Loan System
After less than two months, the bicycle loan system of the City of Burgos (This activity is part of the measure 9.6 of the CiViTAS CARAVEL project in the City of Burgos.) is considered to be a big success. More than 1.100 people already registered in the system resulting in more than 2.200 uses of bikes.
Many other cities have been in contact with the City of Burgos interested in the bike loan system in order to copy the system and to try to implement it also. The civil servants from the City Council of Burgos and the technicians from the Castille and Leon Technologic Intitute (ITCL) are required to explain the implementation process in many other cities.
