Boosting start-ups and SMEs for smart urban mobility: linking accelerators and cities – 22 May 2015, Berlin

Smart urban mobility is a field of dynamic entrepreneurship. It provides substantial potential for start-ups to grow their business. While the opportunities are great, considerable challenges remain for making all the steps towards successful growth.
The European Commission organises a conference on 22 May 2015 in Berlin during the 2015 Metropolitan Solutions Fair. It invites representatives from start-up accelerators, large companies, SMEs and start-ups, innovation agencies and city halls to discuss the following topics through panel and break-out discussions:
How to best accelerate start-ups: what lessons have we learnt?
Opportunities for collaboration between accelerators: greater impact in Europe?
How to improve the business environment in cities? What kind of support is needed?
What is the value added of action at a European level?
Better collaboration between innovators, accelerators and policy-makers will help lift the EU SME economy in this important sector of urban mobility and transport.
