Gent car-sharing goes electric

CIVITAS Initiative

On June 25, Gent launched its very first electric 'shared' car. The Tazzari Zero is a small, but very practical car and will join the cambio fleet for a certain test period. Cambio Flanders started, in cooperation with the City of Gent and Ineltra systems, a pilot project with electric cars.

The gathering of expertise and knowledge is one of the main goals, together of course with environmental considerations. If the pilot project turns out to be successful, the Tazzari Zero will be integrated permanently in the cambio fleet.Who will be the first driver? To ensure that people can drive the electric car in a safe and proper way, a test group will be installed for the first couple of months. When the pilot project is considered a success, all customers can use this nice little 'green' car and share their experiences. Not only are cambio users already ecologically aware, they also want cambio to play a pioneer's role in decreasing ecological foot and tyre prints. With the Tazzari Zero Cambio wants to decrease its ecological tyre print even more and experience an alternatively driven car for the very first time.
