Monza to host Government of Urban Mobility conference
On 16 February the city of Monza, together with CIVINet Italy which Monza is member of, will organise a conference with the title “The Government of Urban Mobility”. The meeting addresses technicians, politicians and citizens, and will be the perfect occasion to present future visions for more sustainable and green cities, as well as the measures which are being implemented in Monza because of the ARCHIMEDES project.
CIVINet Italy activities are addressed to all Italian local authorities, associations, research centres, universities and other organisations (from both public and private sectors) which have an interest in urban transport and, in particular, in sustainable mobility. The event will also be an opportunity to enhance the collaboration and exchange of experiences between Italian cities, local entities and other relevant stakeholders.In the morning there will be a technical session dedicated to some relevant technological measures and strategies developed in some big and middle-size cities, such as Milano, Brescia, Monza and Parma. The afternoon will be dedicated to roundtable coordinated by Prof. Edoardo Croci (IEFE Centre, Bocconi University) which will see the participation of technicians and representatives from various municipalities, universities, mobility offices from Monza, Bologna, Milano, Perugia, Potenza, Modena and Treviso, debating measures as well as activities, surveys and the benefits they are promoting and encountering in their local contexts.
