“Siemens Mobility: Innovating to Solve Traffic Challenges of Today & Tomorrow”
According to recent statistics, the average urban commuter is stuck in traffic for about 34 hours a year, and contributes to a waste of 1.9 billion gallons of fuel annually. With challenges like these impacting millions of citizens and commuters, Siemens Mobility invited university students and the general public to join a global open innovation challenge that looked for revolutionary ideas to address this, with a focus on green mobility, disaster response and resilience, and parking.
Join this live Innovation Café to hear Ben Collar, Director of R&D at Siemens, and Matt Chapman, Head of Innovation Services at Mindjet, discuss how Siemens implemented a six-stage innovation process to help solve the traffic challenges we face today and in the future. Through engagement, coaching and collaboration identified three winning solutions to improve the daily life of commuters and citizens.
This webinar will cover:
- Background to the Mobility IDEA Contest
- Developing and executing a truly global challenge
- Best practices for engaging crowds through open innovation
