Transport experts from South-East Europe take interest in CIVITAS

CIVITAS Initiative

The CIVITAS ELAN project was presented to transport experts from South-East Europe at the International conference "Ecology in Transportation“. The event was organised by Travnik International University and took place from 2 - 3 June in  Bosnia and Herzegovina.

More than 80 transport experts from South–East Europe had a chance to learn about the CIVITAS Initiative, CIVITAS ELAN and its results in Zagreb. Lidija Pavić - Rogošić from ODRAZ talked about innovative aspects when it comes to more sustainable transport, new solutions, but also civic engagement as an important part of the project. One of the aims was to get the explain the possibilities for financing innovative transport concepts and projects through EU Funds. Sadko Mandžuka and Danijela Barić, experts from Zagreb Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering gave presentations on intelligent transport systems (ITS) and electronic ticketing. Their papers were printed in the conference proceedings. Tamara Nikolić from REC Budapest and Lidija Pavić-Rogošić brought leaflets and other promotional material, that was disseminated to the participants.
