Zagreb looking towards 2017
The CIVITAS ELAN team in Zagreb participated in Pedalafest, a combination of a conference and festival to promote cycling as a mode of transport.
The Pedalafest took place from 7-9 June 2012 in Zagreb. The ELAN team consisted of Ljupko Šimunović from Zagreb Faculty of Traffic and Transport Sciences, Janez Bertoncelj, City of Ljubljana and Lidija Pavić-Rogošić from ODRAZ – Sustainable Community Development. They joined the panel discussion "Zagreb 2017". The year 2017 will mark the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first bike in Zagreb - and Croatia, in fact. The goal is to achieve a transformation of the city towards more sustainable mobility by then. A transformation that will include the bicycle as a main mode of transport, which will make Zagreb a nicer and more pleasant city!
