Summary
CityMobil2 has successfully demonstrated automated road transport systems in 7 European cites carrying more than 60 thousand passengers on fully automated road vehicles sharing the infrastructure with other road users.
In order to allow cities to carry out demos with automated road transport systems (ARTS), CityMobil2 made a first step towards a legal framework by providing compliance and certification guidelines to the cities selected for the CityMobil2 demonstrations.
The framework illustrated in this deliverable translated the cities needsĀ into guidelines to test and validate the fully automated vehicles and the infrastructure in place with respect to their technological safety, safety of usage and legal safety.
